1. that a woman was found killed in one of the expeditions of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and so the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) denounced killing women and boys 2. forbade vowing and said: "Indeed, it does not bring any good; rather it is only a means to extract something from the miser 3. By Allah, Allah Willing, if I ever take an oath and then see that another option is better than the first, I will make expiation for my oath and do what is better - 2 ملاحظة 4. Whoever wears silk in the life of this world will not wear it in the Hereafter 5. Among the best of Jihad is to speak a word of justice to an oppressive ruler 6. When the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) got up at night, he would cleanse his mouth with Siwak (tooth-stick) 7. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying after the Fajr prayer up until the sun rises, and after the ‘Asr prayer until the sun sets 8. A man asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): "When is the Hour?" He said: "What have you prepared for it? 9. A man follows the religion (i.e. ways and manners) of his close friend. So, each of you should carefully consider whom he takes as his intimate friend 10. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would often say: "O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion 11. When a dog drinks from the vessel of any of you, let him wash it seven times 12. There is no god but Allah. Woe to the Arabs from an impending evil. Today, an opening has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog, like this, 13. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was more bashful than a virgin in her boudoir. Whenever he saw something he disliked, we could perceive that on his face 14. Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will make him reach the status of martyrs even if he dies on his bed 15. The believer, man or woman, will continue to be tested concerning his or her self, children, and property until they meet Allah without any sins in their record 16. The nearest the Lord to a servant is in the course of the last part of the night 17. 'A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown into Hellfire, and his intestines will slip out and he will go around by them like a donkey goes around a millstone 18. This is a stone that was thrown into Hellfire seventy years ago and it was falling into Hellfire until it reached its bottom 19. Whoever equips a fighter in the cause of Allah has indeed taken part in the fight himself; and whoever looks after the dependents of a fighter in his absence properly has indeed taken part in the fight himself 20. One may utter a word thoughtlessly and, as a result of this, he will fall down into Hellfire for a distance greater than the distance between the east and the west 21. No prophet had been sent before me by Allah except that he had disciples and companions from his nation who adhered to his way and followed his command 22. I was granted five that none before me was granted 23. never fail to say after each prayer: Allāhumma a‘inni ‘ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibādatik (O Allah, help me remember You, thank You, and excellently worship You) 24. Allah said: All the deeds of the son of Adam are for himself except for fasting, as it is, indeed, for Me, and I give reward for it - 10 ملاحظة 25. When anyone of you meets his brother, let him greet him with peace. If a tree, a wall, or a rock comes between them and then he meets him, let him greet him with peace again. 26. When any of you sleeps, the devil ties three knots at the back of his head, striking each knot: Ahead of you is a long night, so keep sleeping 27. Two eyes will not be touched by the Fire: an eye which has wept out of fear of Allah, and an eye which has spent the night guarding in the cause of Allah 28. I met Ibrāhīm (Abraham) on the night I was taken for a journey, and he said: O Muhammad, convey my greetings of peace to your Ummah and tell them that Paradise has pure soil and sweet water 29. You have asked me about a great matter, which is, indeed, easy for whomever Allah makes it easy 30. O people, indeed, Allah is good and does not accept except what is good. Indeed, Allah has commanded the believers with what he commanded the messengers - 2 ملاحظة 31. My close friend (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) advised me with three: fasting three days of every month, the two Rak‘ahs of Duha, and performing Witr before I sleep 32. Fast when you see it, and break the fast when you see it, but if the sky is overcast and you cannot see it, then act on estimation 33. Verily, some of what reached people from the speech of the early prophets: If you feel no shame, then do whatever you wish 34. Leave what you doubt for what you do not doubt; indeed, truthfulness is tranquility, and lying is doubt 35. Be in this world as if you are a stranger or a wayfarer 36. Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah 37. Do not kill him, for if you kill him, he will be in the same position as yours before you kill him, and you will be in the same position as his before saying the word that he said 38. Whoever ate garlic or onion should keep away from us—or he said: from our mosque—and stay at home." 39. Verily, I shall give this banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and Allah will grant victory at his hands." 40. Listen and obey, for they are only responsible for their duty, and you are responsible for your duty 41. Reviling a Muslim is Fusūq (deobedience) and fighting him is Kufr (disbelief) 42. Do not initiate the greeting of peace to the Jews or Christians, and if you meet one of them on the way, force him to narrowest part thereof 43. He is not one of us who slaps the cheeks, splits the collars, and calls out with the calls of Jāhiliyyah (pre-Islamic era of ignorance) 44. 'Whoever of you comes to attend the Friday prayer, let him take a shower 45. The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned, but he does not invoke Allah's blessings upon me - 2 ملاحظة 46. Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning or the evening, Allah has prepared an abode for him in Paradise every time he goes in the morning or the evening 47. Supplication between the Adhān (call to prayer) and the Iqāmah (second call to prayer) is not rejected - 2 ملاحظة 48. O Allah, set right for me my religion that is the safeguard of my affairs - 2 ملاحظة 49. O Lord, forgive me my sin, my ignorance, my excess in all of my affairs, and whatever You are better aware of than me. O Allah, forgive me my sins, my deliberate sins, my ignorant sins, my humorous sins, and all of this I have committed. O Allah, forgive what I have done and what I have left undone, what I have committed secretly and what I have committed openly; You are the Advancer and You are the Delayer, and You have absolute power over everything 50. O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter - 2 ملاحظة 51. O Allah, I ask You for all that is good, the immediate and the deferred thereof, what I know and what I do not know. And I seek refuge with You from all that is evil, the immediate and the deferred thereof, what I know and what I do not know 52. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the removal of Your favor, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your calamity, and all of Your wrath 53. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the dominance of debt, the dominance of the enemy, and the gloat of the enemies 54. O Allah, by You we have reached the morning, and by You we have reached the evening; by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the Resurrection 55. Beware of entering upon women." A man from the Ansār said: O Messenger of Allah, what about the Hamw (brother-in-law)? He said: "The Hamw is death - 2 ملاحظة 56. Silver for gold is Riba (usury) unless exchanged on the spot; wheat for wheat is Riba unless exchanged on the spot; barley for barley is Riba unless exchanged on the spot; and dates for dates is Riba unless exchanged on the spot 57. Say: O Allah, guide me and make me adhere to the straight path, and when asking for Huda (guidance), think of your being guided to the right path, and Sadād (adherence to the straight path) is the straightness of the arrow 58. Put your hand on the part of your body where you feel the pain and say: 'Bismillāh (In the name of Allah)' three times; then say seven times: 'A‘ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uhādhir (I seek refuge with Allah and His power from the evil that I find and fear).' 59. Whoever says three times: 'In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing in the earth or the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing' will not suffer sudden affliction until the morning 60. He who prays before sunrise and before sunset will not enter Hellfire 61. No one greets me except that Allah restores my soul to me so that I return his greeting 62. There are two things in people that are signs of disbelief: defaming lineages and wailing over the dead 63. No owner of gold or silver who does not pay what is due on it except that on the Day of Judgment they will be made for him sheets of fire - 4 ملاحظة 64. When a person curses something, the curse ascends to heaven and the gates of heaven are closed against it. Then it descends to earth and its gates are closed against it. Then it turns right and left and when it finds no exit it returns to what was cursed if it deserves to be cursed; otherwise it rebounds to the one who uttered it 65. A caller will call out: You will be healthy and never fall ill; you will live and never die; you will be young and never grow old; you will live in comfort and never suffer 66. When the dwellers of Paradise enter Paradise, he said: Allah Almighty will say: Do you want Me to give you anything more? 67. Its water is purifying, and its dead animals are lawful 68. If the water is two pitchers, it will bear no impurity 69. If any of you wakes up from his sleep, let him blow water out of his nose three times, as the devil spends the night on his nostrils 70. If any of you makes ablution and puts on his leather socks, let him pray while having them on, and let him wipe over them without taking them off, if he wishes, except in the state of Janābah (major ritual impurity) 71. Is it not but a piece of him 72. No man accuses another man of defiant disobedience or accuses him of disbelief except that it rebounds on him if his companion is not like that 73. Verily, the devil has lost hope of being worshiped by those who engage in prayer in the Arabian Peninsula, but has not lost hope of sowing dissension between them 74. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not believe in evil omens - 3 ملاحظة 75. Do not call a hypocrite a master, for if he is a master, you will have angered your Almighty Lord 76. Whoever swears by the Amānah (trust) is not one of us 77. O womenfolk, give charity, for indeed, I was shown that you form the majority of the dwellers of Hellfire." They said: Why is that, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "You curse frequently, and you are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone deficient in intellect and religion more able to lead and subdue the mind of a stern man than one of you - 2 ملاحظة 78. Those privies are attended by the devils, so if anyone of you goes to a privy, let him say: I seek refuge with Allah from the male and female devils 79. Whoever says upon hearing the call: O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer that is to be established, grant Muhammad Al-Wasīlah and Al-Fadīlah and resurrect him to the Praiseworthy Station that You have promised him, he will be granted my intercession on the Day of Judgment 80. None of you should pray in a single garment with nothing on his shoulders 81. When you prostrate, place your palms and raise your elbows 82. I prayed with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and he used to make Taslīm (salutation of peace ending the prayer) to his right saying: "May Allah's peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you," and to his left saying: "May Allah's peace and mercy be upon you 83. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to Abu Bakr and ‘Umar: "These two are the masters of the elderly people of Paradise, from the first ones and the last ones, except the prophets and the messengers 84. Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of Paradise 85. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not ever leave four before Zhuhr and two Rak‘ahs before morning 86. Whoever regularly observes four Rak‘ahs before Zhuhr and four after it, Allah will make him forbidden to Hellfire 87. May Allah have mercy on whoever offers four Rak‘ahs before the ‘Asr prayer 88. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recited: {Say, “O disbelievers”} and {Say: “He is Allah, the One”} in the two Rak‘ahs of Fajr 89. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man praying alone behind the row, so he commanded him to repeat his prayer 90. Any woman who marries without the permission of her guardians, her marriage is void—three times—and if he consummated the marriage with her, she would be entitled to the dowry in return for his copulation with her. If a dispute arises between them, the ruler shall be the guardian of whoever has no guardian 91. No woman should perform the marriage of another woman, and no woman should perform her own marriage. It is an adulteress who performs her own marriage 92. Cursed is the one who has anal intercourse with his wife 93. Allah does not look at a man who approaches a man or a woman anally 94. I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the right of the wife of any of us over him? He said: "To feed her when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, or when you earn money, do not strike on the face, do not revile, and do not forsake except inside the house 95. Whoever has two wives and is inclined to one of them will come on the Day of Judgment with his side inclined 96. Strive against the polytheists with your properties, souls, and tongues 97. The Muslim's lower garment should be halfway down the leg. There is no harm - or there is no blame - between that and the ankles. However, what is below the ankles is in the Fire. Whoever trails his lower garment out of vanity, Allah will not look at him
