Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to Abu Bakr and ‘Umar: "These two are the masters of the elderly people of Paradise, from the first ones and the last ones, except the prophets and the messengers."

[Authentic hadith] - [Narrated by At-Termedhy] - [Sunan At-Termedhy - 3664]

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that Abu Bakr as-Siddīq and ‘Umar al-Fārūq (may Allah be pleased with both of them) are the best of mankind after the prophets and the best of those who are admitted to Paradise after the prophets and messengers.

Benefits from the Hadith

  1. Abu Bakr and ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) are the best people after the prophets and messengers.
  2. There is no old person in Paradise; rather, whoever is admitted therein will be at the age of thirty-three. What is meant here is that they are the masters of those who died in this world from the elderly, or that this is based on what they were in this world at the time of this Hadīth.
