1. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) preferred beginning with the right side when wearing his sandals, combing his hair, purifying himself, and in all of his affairs 2. Show reverence to Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) by honoring his family members. 3. I have never seen the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) laughing so heartily to the extent of seeing his uvulae; rather, he would only smile - 2 ملاحظة 4. Do not supplicate against yourselves, do not supplicate against your children, and do not supplicate against your property, lest you do it at a time in which Allah answers all supplications so you will be granted what you asked for 5. If any of you sees a vision he likes, it is from Allah. So, let him praise Allah for it, and let him recount it. If he sees something else that he dislikes, it is from the devil. So, let him seek refuge from its evil and mention it to no one, for it will not harm him 6. Whoever provides for two girls until they reach puberty, he will come on the Day of Judgment, me and him," and he joined his fingers 7. Had it not been that I might overburden the believers—or  my Ummah—I would have commanded them to use the Siwāk (toothstick) at every prayer 8. There is no day wherein the slaves reach the morning except that two angels descend. One of them says: O Allah, give the spender compensation; whereas the other one says: O Allah, give the withholder damage 9. I was with Sa‘īd ibn Jubayr when he said: Who among you saw a shooting star last night? I said: It was I. Then I said: In fact, I was not (busy) in prayer, but I was stung by a scorpion - 1 ملاحظة 10. Pursue the right course and be as close to it as possible, and keep in mind that none of you will be saved by his deeds." They said: O Messenger of Allah, not even you? He said: "Not even me unless Allah encompasses me with mercy and favor from Him 11. O Allah, I seek refuge with Your pleasure from Your wrath, and with Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge with You from You. I cannot enumerate praise of you; You are as You have praised Yourself 12. Shall I inform you about the people of Paradise? Every weak person who is looked down upon, if he were to make an oath in the name of Allah, He would fulfill it. Shall I inform you about the people of Hellfire? Every cruel, greedy, and arrogant person 13. Verily, I know a word; if he said it, his rage would go away. If he said: I seek refuge with Allah from the devil, his rage would go away 14. The good vision is from Allah, and the dream is from the devil. So, if any of you has a dream of which he is afraid, let him spit on his left and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, for it will not harm him 15. I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is salvation? He said: "Control your tongue, abide in your house, and weep over your sin 16. In Paradise, there are one hundred degrees that Allah prepared for those who make Jihad in the cause of Allah. The distance between each two degrees is like the distance between the heaven and earth 17. I am as My slave thinks of Me and I am with him when he remembers Me - 4 ملاحظة 18. I asked 'Ā'ishah, saying: What did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) use to start with upon entering his house? She said: With the Siwāk (toothstick) 19. It was mentioned before the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who slept throughout the night until morning. He said, "That is a man in whose ears—or, he said, in whose ear—the devil urinated 20. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to strive during the last ten more than he would strive at any other time 21. We used to prepare for the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) his tooth-stick and the water he used for making ablution. Then, Allah would awaken him whenever He willed during the night, and he would brush his teeth with the tooth-stick, make ablution, and perform prayer 22. No slave covers another slave in this world except that Allah would cover him on the Day of Judgment 23. Let none of you die except while having good expectations of Allah 24. If you are as you say, then it is as if you are feeding them hot ashes, and you will continue to have a supporter against them from Allah as long as you continue to do this 25. Anyone whose feet get covered with dust in the cause of Allah will not be touched by the Fire 26. No people leave a gathering in which they did not remember Allah except that it will be as if they are leaving the carcass of a donkey, and it will be a cause of regret for them 27. The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember His Lord is like the example of the living and the dead person 28. Verily, among the things I fear the most for you after me is the splendor and adornment of this worldly life when they become plentifully available to you - 2 ملاحظة 29. Whoever is pleased to be saved by Allah from the agonies of the Day of Judgment, let him give the insolvent respite or grant him remission 30. The least tortured among the dwellers of Hellfire is a person who has two shoes and two shoelaces made of fire that will cause his brain to boil as a boiling cauldron. He thinks that none is more severely tortured than him, although he is the least tortured among them 31. A believer is brought close to his Almighty Lord on the Day of Judgment, and He bestows His Kanaf (concealment) on him and makes him confess his sins 32. Be indifferent to worldly life, and Allah will love you; and be indifferent to what people have, and people will love you 33. Righteousness is good morals, and sinfulness is what your heart is not at ease with, and you hate that people know about it 34. Hellfire will be brought on that Day with seventy thousand bridles; and with each bridle, there will be seventy thousand angels pulling it - 1 ملاحظة 35. Take these two sandals of mine and go. Whoever you meet beyond this orchard who bears witness that there is no god but Allah, with full certainty in his heart, give him the glad tidings of Paradise 36. The proficient reciter of the Qur’an will be with the noble and obedient angel-scribes, and the one who recites the Qur’an stutteringly and finds it difficult will have two rewards - 10 ملاحظة 37. Have you not seen that some verses were revealed (to me) tonight the like of which has never been seen before? They are: {Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak} and {Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind} 38. Three hours the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid us from praying or burying our deceased ones in them 39. Allah does not accept the prayer of any woman who has reached the age of menstruation unless [she is] veiled - 1 ملاحظة 40. What is the matter with some people who raise their eyes towards the sky during their prayer?" He went on, using strict words, until he said, "They must stop that, or their eyesight will be snatched away 41. Yawning inside the prayer is from the devil, so if anyone of you yawns, let him suppress it as much as he can 42. A man who took part in Badr and Hudaybiyah will not enter Hellfire 43. Indeed, when one of you dies, he is shown his place in the morning and the evening 44. The congregational prayer surpasses the prayer of any one of you alone by twenty-five times. And the angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the Fajr prayer 45. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who adds hair extensions and the one who asks for it to be added, and the woman who tattoos and the one who asks to be tattooed 46. There are three (people) whose actions are not recorded by the Pen: a sleeping person till he awakes, a boy till he reaches puberty, and a person with an unsound mind till he regains his sanity - 2 ملاحظة 47. Whoever fasts a day in the way of Allah, Allah will keep his face away from the Fire seventy falls 48. People will continue to be good as long as they hasten to break the fast 49. When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was among us, we used to give out Zakat al-Fitr on behalf of every young and old person, free or slave, as one Sā‘ of food, or one Sā‘ of Aqit (dried yogurt), or one Sā‘ of barley, or one Sā‘ of dates, or one Sā‘ of raisins 50. We had Suhūr (pre-dawn meal) with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and then he stood for prayer. I said: How long was the time between Adhān and Suhūr? He said: The time it takes to recite fifty verses 51. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to practice I‘tikāf (seclusion for worship) during the last ten of Ramadan until he died. Then his wives observed I‘tikāf after him 52. Have Sahūr (pre-dawn meal) for, indeed, there is a blessing in Sahūr - 2 ملاحظة 53. Do not precede Ramadan by fasting a day or two unless a man has a habitual fast, then let him fast it 54. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) enjoined Zakat al-Fitr as one Sā‘ of dates or one Sā‘ of barley on the slave and the free person, the male and the female, the young and the old from among the Muslims. He ordered that it be given before the people go out to the prayer 55. It is not lawful for a Muslim woman to travel the distance of one night unless accompanied by a man who is a Mahram (non-marriageable male relative) to her 56. Whoever forgets while fasting and eats or drinks, let him complete his fast, for it is Allah Who fed him and gave him drink 57. I witnessed Eid with ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: These are two days that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting: the day of breaking your fast, and the other day in which you eat from your sacrifice 58. The Talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): "Labbayka Allāhumma labbayk, labbayka la sharīka laka labbayk, inna al-hamda wa an-ni‘mata laka wal-mulk, la sharīka lak." (O Allah, I respond to Your call, I do respond. I respond to Your call, You have no partner, I do respond. Verily, praise, blessing, and sovereignty belong to You; You have no partner) 59. Seek out the Night of Qadr (Decree) in the odd nights of the last ten of Ramadan 60. I see that your visions have agreed on the last seven, so, whoever seeks it, let him seek it in the last seven 61. Has Allah not provided for you that which you can give as charity? Every Tasbīh (saying: Glory be to Allah) is charity; every Takbīr (saying: Allah is the Greatest) is charity; every Tahmīd (saying: Praise be to Allah) is charity; and every Tahlīl (saying: There is no God but Allah) is charity. Enjoining good is charity, forbidding evil is charity, and even in fulfilling the sexual desire of one of you there is charity 62. Whoever relieves a believer from one of the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him from one of the hardships of the Day of Judgment 63. O people, repent to Allah, for I repent to Him one hundred times a day - 2 ملاحظة 64. Verily, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) disavowed the Sāliqah (wailing woman), the Hāliqah (shaving woman), and the Shāqqah (woman tearing garment) 65. The Children of Israel were ruled by the prophets; whenever a prophet passed away, another would succeed him. Verily, there will be no prophet after me, but there will be many caliphs 66. With the start of the ten, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would revive the night, wake up his family, exert himself, and tighten up the lower garment 67. Worship at times of chaos is like emigration to me 68. No Muslim invokes Allah with a supplication that does not involve sin or severing ties of kinship, except that Allah will grant him one of three: either His supplication will be answered soon, or He will save it for him in the Hereafter, or He will avert from him an equivalent amount of evil." They said: Then we should do more. He said: "Allah is even more 69. The Prophet of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say during times of distress: "There is no god but Allah, the Most Great, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the Noble Throne 70. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) did not offer a prayer after the revelation of {When there comes Allah’s help and the conquest} [Surat an-Nasr: 1] except that he would say therein: "Subhānaka Rabbana wa bihamdik, Allāhumma ighfir li (Glory and praise be to You, our Lord. O Allah, forgive me) 71. When any of you yawns, let him put his hand over his mouth, for indeed, the devil enters 72. The Muslim's right over his fellow Muslim is six." It was said: What are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "When you meet him, greet him with peace; when he invites you, accept his invitation; when he seeks your advice, advise him; when he sneezes and praises Allah, say Tasmīt to him; when he falls sick, visit him; and when he dies, follow him - 4 ملاحظة 73. Allah does not look at the one who drags his garment out of conceit 74. Whoever seizes the right of a Muslim person by his oath, Allah will condemn him to Hellfire and will make Paradise forbidden for him." A man said to him: Even if it is something insignificant, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "Even if it is a twig of Arāk 75. There are two blessings in which many people incur loss: health and free time 76. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say in his prostration: "Allāhumma ighfir li dhambi kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa awwalahu wa ākhirahu, wa ‘alāniyatahu wa sirrahu (O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the small and the great, the first and the last, the public and the private) - 8 ملاحظة 77. Indeed, the cursers will not be witnesses or intercessors on the Day of Judgment 78. Verily, your Lord is Bashful and Munificent. He is too Bashful of His slave to let him go empty-handed when raising his hands to Him 79. No people sit in a gathering in which they do not remember Allah and do not invoke blessings upon their Prophet, except that it will be a source of regret for them. If He wills, He will punish them, and if He wills, He will forgive them 80. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) liked comprehensive supplications and would leave aside anything else 81. An oath is a means for selling a commodity and a means for destroying the profit 82. Do not curse the wind. If you see what you dislike, then say: Allāhumma inna nas’aluka min khayri hādhihi ar-rīh wa khayri ma fīha wa khayri ma ’umirat bih, wa na’ūdhu bika min sharri hādhihi ar-rīh wa sharri ma fīha wa sharri ma ’umirat bih (O Allah, we ask you for the good of this wind, the good that is in it, and the good that it has been commanded to bring; and we seek refuge with You from the evil of this wind, the evil that is in it, and the evil it has been commanded to bring) 83. None of you should say: O Allah, forgive me if You will, have mercy on me if You will, and grant me sustenance if You will. Let him be determined in his request, for indeed, He does what He wills; none can compel Him - 2 ملاحظة 84. May a man's nose be rubbed in dust who, when I am mentioned in his presence, does not invoke blessings upon me. And may a man's nose be rubbed in dust who witnesses the month of Ramadan, then it passes without him being forgiven. And may a man's nose be rubbed in dust who has both his parents reach old age with him, yet they do not cause him to enter Paradise 85. No fasting counts for the one who fasts continuously. Fasting three days is like fasting the entire year 86. What is the matter with those people who said such-and-such? But indeed, I pray and sleep, I fast and break the fast, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah does not belong to me 87. No two Muslims meet and shake hands except that their sins are forgiven before they part - 2 ملاحظة 88. Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surat al-Kahf will be protected from the Antichrist." Another version reads: "the last ten verses of Surat al-Kahf 89. Whoever visits a sick person whose time of death has not yet come, and says seven times in his presence: 'As’alullāh al-‘azhīm Rabb al-‘arshi al-‘azhīm an yashfiyak (I ask Allah the Great, Lord of the great Throne, to cure you),' except that Allah will cure him of that sickness 90. Indeed, the hearts of all the children of Adam are between two Fingers of the Most Compassionate, like one heart; He directs it as He wills - 2 ملاحظة 91. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was never given a choice between two things except that he would choose the easier of the two unless it were a sin. If it were a sin, he would be the farthest of people from it 92. May Allah brighten the person who hears something from us and conveys it as he heard it, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed is more mindful than the hearer 93. Allah will gather the people, the first and the last, in one place, where they will hear the caller and they will be sighted clearly. The sun will draw near, and people will be overwhelmed with anguish and distress that they cannot endure or bear 94. Verily, the believer in Paradise will have a tent made of a single hollow pearl, the length of which is sixty miles. The believer will have wives therein whom he will visit in turn, and they will not see each other 95. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the man who wears women's clothes and the woman who wears men's clothes 96. Whoever has a sacrifice to slaughter, once the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah is declared, he should not take anything from his hair or his nails until he sacrifices 97. When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained
