‘Uthmān ibn ‘Affān (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "c2">“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others.”
Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari]

Explanation

"c2">“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others”: this is an address to the whole Ummah. Hence, the best of the Muslims are those who combine between these two properties of learning and teaching the Qur’an. Learning the Qur’an is one of the most honorable branches of knowledge. Such learning and teaching include both the words and meaning. Memorizing the Qur’an and teaching people how to recite and memorize the Qur’an is included in teaching. On the other hand, learning such recitation and memorization of the Qur’an is included in the process as well. The second kind of learning and teaching has to do with the meanings of the Qur’an. Hence, teaching the Qur’an also includes teaching Qur’an interpretation, how to do so, as well as informing people about the necessary rules in this regard.
