عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «كل معروف صدقة».
[صحيح] - [رواه البخاري]
المزيــد ...

Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "c2">“Every act of goodness is charity.”
Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari]

Explanation

Every act of kindness that one does is charity. Charity is that which the donor gives from his money, and this includes both obligatory and recommended charity. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) explained that performing acts of goodness takes the same ruling as charity in terms of reward and recompense.
