Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah said: The son of Adam tells a lie against Me and he has no right to do so; and he insults Me and has no right to do so. His lying against Me is his saying: He will not resurrect me as He created me for the first time,' although the first creation was not easier for Me than resurrecting him. His insulting Me is his saying: 'Allah has begotten a son,' while I am The One, The Eternal Refuge, Who begets not nor was He begotten, and there is none like unto Me."

Explanation

In the Hadīth Qudsi, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) clarifies that Allah Almighty informs about the polytheists and the disbelievers that they lie against Him and attribute imperfections and deficiencies to Him and they have no right to do so.
As for lying against Allah: They claim that Allah will not bring them back to life after death as He created them at first from nothing. He refuted their claim saying that the One Who started the creation from nothing is capable of resurrecting them; rather, this is easier, although both the creation and resurrection are equally easy for Allah as He is competent over all things.
As for their insulting Him: They say that He has a son, but He again refuted their claim, saying that He is the One and Only Who possesses all perfection in His names, attributes, and acts; the One Who is far above any imperfections and deficiencies; the Eternal Refuge Who needs none and Who is needed by everyone; He is the father of none and the child of none, and there is none comparable to Him, not an equal or peer.
