Hadith: If Allah decreed that someone should die in a certain land, He makes for him a reason to go there

عَنْ مَطَرِ بْنِ عُكَامِسٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
«إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ إِلَيْهَا حَاجَةً».

Matar ibn ‘Ukāmis reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"If Allah decreed that someone should die in a certain land, He makes for him a reason to go there."

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) relates that if Allah decrees and predestines that someone should die in a certain land where he does not exist, He makes a reason for him to go there, and so he goes and dies there.
