Hadith: What did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to do at his home? She said: He used to be at the service of his family. But when the time for prayer came, he would go out to the prayer
Al-Aswad ibn Yazīd reported that ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked about what the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to do at his home. She said: "He used to serve his family. But when the time for prayer came, he would go out to the prayer."
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was at the service of his family at home out of humbleness and modesty. He used to milk the sheep, fix the footwear, and serve them with regard to their house chores. That is because when ‘Ā'ishah was asked about what the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to do in his home, she said: "He was at the service of his family." In fact, this is the attitude of the prophets and messengers, peace be upon them. They are modest and humble in their actions and do not lead the life of luxury and comfort.
