Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person who is disheveled, dusty and driven away from doors (maybe so close to Allah) that if he swears by Allah, He will definitely fulfill it for him."
[Authentic hadith] - [Narrated by Muslim]

Explanation

"A disheveled, dusty and driven away from doors person (maybe so close to Allah) that if he swears by Allah, He would definitely fulfill it for him." He is disheveled because he does not own anything to oil or comb his hair with, nor does he care about his appearance. His body and clothes are dusty due to his extreme poverty. He is driven away from doors because he is of no social standing, so if he knocks on someone's door, they do not let him in; rather, they turn him away because he has no value to them. However, he has value in the sight of Allah, to the level that if he were to swear by Allah, Allah would answer him. In other words, if he says: "By Allah, such and such will or will not happen", it indeed will or will not happen. Allah grants him what he swears by because of his honorable status with Allah. The scale to measure someone's status in Allah's sight is his piety and mindfulness of Allah, as Allah says in the Qur'an: {Indeed the best amongst you in the sight of Allah are the most pious amongst you} [Sūrat al-Hujurāt: 13]. The more pious a person is, the more honored he is in Allah's sight. Allah will makes his affairs easy, answers his supplication, relieve his distress, and grant him what he swears by. That pious person would not swear by Allah regarding injustice towards anyone. He would not dare to challenge Allah in His dominion. He only swears by Allah regarding what pleases Allah or in lawful things, out of his confidence and reliance upon Allah, the Almighty.
