Hadith: While a man was walking on a path, he found a thorn branch on the road, so he put it aside. Allah, thus, thanked him and forgave him

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:
«بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ فَأَخَّرَهُ، فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"While a man was walking on a path, he found a thorn branch on the road, so he put it aside. Allah, thus, thanked him and forgave him."

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informed that while a man was walking, he came across a thorny tree branch on the road that was harming the Muslims. He put it aside and moved it away from the path. So Allah thanked him for that and forgave him.

Benefits from the Hadith

1. The merit of removing harm from the way and that it is a means for Allah's forgiveness.
2. Refraining from belittling acts of goodness even if they are simple acts.
3. Islam is the religion of cleanness, protecting the environment, and public safety.
