1. If the Iqāmah for prayer is proclaimed, and the dinner is served, start with the dinner - 3 ملاحظة 2. I asked Anas ibn Mālik: Did the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) use to pray with his shoes on? He said: Yes! 3. Your father will suffer no more agony after this day 4. Who is that who swears that I will not forgive so-and-so? Indeed, I have forgiven him and rendered worthless your deeds 5. Are you not aware that Islam wipes out all (sins) that preceded it, and that Hijrah wipes out all (sins) that preceded it, and that Hajj wipes out all (sins) that preceded it? 6. A man, who was set for travel, asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): Which type of Jihad is better? He replied: A word of truth said to a despotic ruler 7. All that is left from Prophet-hood is the glad tidings 8. The martyr feels nothing from the agony of death except as one of you feels from the sting of an ant 9. I would not be pleased to have the like of Uhud in gold and three days pass while even one dinar thereof remains with me, except what I keep for debts. Otherwise, I would distribute it among Allah's slaves like this, and like this, and like this 10. If I am killed for the cause of Allah, will my sins be forgiven? 11. O Messenger of Allah, I have two neighbors, so which one of them should I give a gift to? He said: The one whose door is the nearest to you 12. Breastfeeding produces the same interdiction which childbirth produces 13. There is no emigration after the Conquest, but there is Jihad and good intention, and whenever you are called for Jihad, you should immediately respond to the call 14. A man asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about fasting while traveling. He answered: If you wish then fast, and if you wish then do not fast 15. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting the two days: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Ad'ha; wearing a garment that is void of openings for hands; sitting on one’s buttocks while holding his both legs pulled back with his arms in case he wore only one garment; and praying after the Fajr and ‘Asr prayers 16. Zakah is not due on what is less than five ounces, nor on what is less than five camels, nor on what is less than five Wasqs - 1 ملاحظة 17. They lead you in prayers. If they do well, then you will be rewarded; but if they make mistakes, then you will receive reward and the mistake will be theirs 18. "He is in Hellfire." The people then went to look at him and found in his place a cloak which he had stolen from the war booty 19. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never found fault with any food. If he liked it, he would eat; and if he disliked it, he would leave it 20. A solar eclipse occurred during the Prophet's lifetime and he sent someone to summon people for a congregational prayer. They gathered and he came forward and began the prayer by making Takbīr. He bowed four times and prostrated four times in two Rak‘ahs 21. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite two Sūrahs to read in the Fajr prayer on Friday: Sūrat As-Sajdah and Sūrat al-Insān. 22. When any of you is putting on his shoes, let him start with the right foot; and when he is taking them off, let him start with the left foot. Let the right foot be the first when putting on the shoes and the last when taking them off 23. None of you should walk wearing one shoe; either wear both of them or take them both off 24. Whoever listens to the talk of some people while they dislike that, molten lead shall be poured into his ears on the Day of Judgment - 1 ملاحظة 25. Was handshake common among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes 26. Among them are those whom the fire will reach up to their ankles, others up to their knees, others up to their waists, and others up to their collarbones 27. Every person will be resurrected in the same state he died in - 1 ملاحظة 28. We were talking about the Farewell Hajj, when the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was with us. We did not know what the Farewell Hajj signified 29. No Prophet was sent but that he warned his people against the one-eyed liar 30. Whoever unjustly usurps even one handspan of land, his neck will be encircled with it down the seven earths 31. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to spend consecutive nights with an empty stomach, and his household would find no supper, and their bread was mostly made of barley 32. On the Day of Resurrection, there will be three categories of people whom Allah will not speak to, purify, or look at 33. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the town-dweller to sell (merchandise) on behalf of a Bedouin 34. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the sale of exchange of gold with silver on credit 35. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of silver for silver and gold for gold except for equal quantities, and commanded us to buy silver with gold as we desire, and to buy gold with silver as we desire - 1 ملاحظة 36. Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) appointed a man to lead an army or a military detachment, he would advise him to fear Allah and treat well those Muslims who are with him 37. If you spend the like of Uhud in gold, Allah will not accept it from you until you believe in predestination, and know that what has befallen you would not have missed you and what has missed you would not have befallen you. If you die on other than this, you will be among the people of Hellfire 38. The first thing Allah created was the Pen. He commanded it to write. It said: My Lord, what shall I write? He said: Write down what has been ordained for all things until the establishment of the Hour - 1 ملاحظة 39. Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) visited a sick person, he would say: No harm, (it will be) purification (from sins) if Allah wills 40. I visited the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in pain because of fever, so I touched him - 1 ملاحظة 41. A previously married woman should not be married until her verbal consent has been sought, and a virgin should not be married until her permission has been sought. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is her permission? He said: When she remains silent 42. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would not fast in any month more than he did in Sha‘bān 43. Whoever does not recite the Qur’an with a melodious voice is not one of us 44. A Jew came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Muhammad, Allah holds the heavens on one Finger, the earths on one Finger, the mountains on one Finger, the trees on one Finger, and the creatures on one Finger, then He says: I am the King - 1 ملاحظة 45. It is obligatory upon you to listen and obey (the ruler) in times of your ease and of your difficulty, whether you feel energetically stimulated or you feel compelled, and even when someone else is given undue preference over you 46. Whenever we gave the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) pledge of allegiance to listen and obey, he would say to us: To the best of your ability 47. Listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave, whose head is like a raisin, was appointed a ruler over you 48. Whoever obeys me has obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah; and whoever obeys the leader has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the leader has disobeyed me 49. The best of your leaders are those whom you love and who love you, and who invoke Allah's blessings upon you and you invoke His blessings upon them. And the worst of your leaders are those whom you hate and they hate you, and whom you curse and they curse you 50. Whoever dies without having fought (in the cause of Allah) or having thought of fighting (in the cause of Allah) will die while having one of the qualities of hypocrisy 51. Would you not be content if I maintain ties with whoever maintains you, and sever ties with whoever severs you? 52. There is no day on which Allah sets free more of His slaves from Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah. He verily draws near, then He boasts about them before the angels saying: What do these people want? 53. Our Lord will reveal His Shin, and then all believers, men and women, will prostrate themselves before Him, but there will remain those who used to prostrate in the worldly life for showing off and gaining good reputation. Such people will try to prostrate (in that situation) but their backs will be as stiff as if it is one bone - 1 ملاحظة 54. No one, or nothing, is more patient about the offensive statements he hears than Allah. Verily, they ascribe a son to Him, yet He still grants them good health and sustenance 55. The Hadīth of Abu Sa‘īd depicts some of the scenes of the Day of Judgment, when the believers see Allah, Blessed and Exalted; the "Sirāt" (bridge over Hell), taking anyone in whose heart there is an atom weight of faith out of the Fire, and the intercession 56. The Hellfire will keep on saying: Are there anymore (to come), until the Lord of Honor puts His Foot therein. It will then say: I had enough! I had enough! [I swear] by Your Honor, and its sides will come together and it will retreat - 1 ملاحظة 57. Allah says: If My slave intends to do an evil deed, do not write it down until he does it. If he does it, then write it as it is. If he does not do it for My Sake, then write it as a good deed for him - 1 ملاحظة 58. Two kinds of dead meat and two kinds of blood have been made lawful for you. The two kinds of dead meat are fish and locusts, and the two kinds of blood are the liver and spleen - 1 ملاحظة 59. You praised this, so Paradise has been affirmed for him, and you dispraised this, so Hell has been affirmed for him. You are Allah's witnesses on earth - 1 ملاحظة 60. If you pursue the faults of the Muslims, you will surely corrupt them, or you will nearly corrupt them 61. Whoever incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master is not one of us - 1 ملاحظة 62. Whoever forsakes his brother for a year is like shedding his blood 63. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade striking the face and branding on the face 64. The Jews and Christians do not dye (their grey hair), so do the opposite of what they do 65. Do not keep the fire burning in your homes when you go to bed 66. The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan - 1 ملاحظة 67. Whoever swears saying: "I have nothing to do with Islam," if he is lying, then he will be as he said: and if he is telling the truth, his Islam will be defective 68. Beware of the two things that provoke cursing. They said: O Messenger of Allah, what are those two things which provoke cursing? He said: The one who relieves himself on people’s roads or in their shade 69. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) fasted on the Day of ‘Āshūrā' - 1 ملاحظة 70. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to sleep while in a state of Janābah without touching water 71. Is this what you have been ordered with? That you set the Book of Allah against itself? The people before you were only ruined when they differed about this matter. You have nothing to do with what was going on here. See what I commanded you to do, and observe it and act upon it, and what I forbade you to do, desist from it 72. If anyone of you is praying behind something that conceals him from people and somebody tries to pass in front of him, he should push him away; if he refuses, the praying person should use force against him for he is a devil 73. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying with one's hands on one's waist 74. Spitting in the mosque is a sin and its expiation is to bury it 75. I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) praying while sitting cross-legged 76. When any of you prostrates, he should not kneel down like a camel; rather, he should put down his hands before his knees - 1 ملاحظة 77. Ibn ‘Umar used to put his hands down before his knees, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to do that - 1 ملاحظة 78. ‘Ā’ishah was asked: "What did the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) usually do at home?" She replied: "He was a human being like any other human; he would clean his garment, milk his ewe, and serve himself." 79. They spoke the truth. They are tormented, and their torment can be heard by all animals 80. This Ummah will be tested in their graves. Were it not that you would not bury one another, I would supplicate Allah to make you hear what I hear of the torment of the grave 81. Once, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the top of one of the forts of Madīnah looking down and said: Do you see what I see? Verily, I see the trials that occur in the midst of your houses as plenty as the raindrops that fall (during heavy rain) 82. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My advent and the Hour are like these," and he pointed with his two fingers 83. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, a time would come upon the people when the killer would not know why he killed and the victim would not know why he was killed 84. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray two light Rak‘ahs after the break of dawn 85. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer thirteen Rak‘ah in the night prayer including Witr, plus two (voluntary) Rak‘ahs of the Fajr prayer 86. O people, pray at your homes, for a person’s best prayer is the one he performs at his home except the obligatory prayer 87. Announce marriages 88. If a man invites his wife to his bed and she refuses, and so he spends the night angry with her, the angels will curse her until the morning 89. Whoever is killed in defense of his wealth is a martyr. Whoever is killed in defense of his family, himself, or his religion is a martyr - 1 ملاحظة 90. When anyone of you beats his brother, he should avoid the face 91. ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: I asked for the permission of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to make Jihad, so he said: Your Jihad is pilgrimage 92. Go back to them and seek their permission. If they give you permission, you can engage in Jihad, otherwise, be dutiful to them - 2 ملاحظة 93. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a ram for Al-Hasan and a ram for Al-Husayn for their ‘Aqīqah - 1 ملاحظة 94. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) commanded them to slaughter two similar sheep for a boy and one sheep for a girl (at their birth) - 2 ملاحظة 95. A child is held in pledge for his ‘Aqīqah which should be slaughtered on his behalf on the seventh day after his birth, and he should be given a name, and his head should be shaved 96. A Muslim cannot inherit from a disbeliever nor can a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim - 2 ملاحظة
