Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite two Sūrahs to read in the Fajr prayer on Friday: Sūrat As-Sajdah and Sūrat al-Insān. Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
It was the practice of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to recite in the Dawn Prayer on Friday the whole of Sūrat As-Sajdah in the first Rak‘ah after reciting Sūrat al-Fātihah. In the second Ra‘kah, he would recite the whole of Sūrat al-Insān. He used to recite these two Sūrahs to remind Muslims of the great events of the past, such as the creation of Adam, and the great events that will happen, including the resurrection, the gathering of people, and other events that will take place on the Day of Judgment.
