عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
«لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْكُمْ مَخَافَةُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذَا رَآهُ أَوْ عَلِمَهُ».

Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Let not the fear of people prevent any man among you from speaking the truth when he sees it or knows it."

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) addressed his Companions, and among the advice he gave was that a Muslim should not be deterred by the fear or power of people from speaking the truth or commanding it when he sees or knows it.

Benefits from the Hadith

  1. Encouraging to reveal the truth and not conceal it out of fear of people.
  2. Saying the truth does not mean disregarding politeness, wisdom, and good advice in the way it is said.
  3. It is obligatory to denounce evil and give precedence to the rights of Allah Almighty over the interests of people who oppose Him.
