Purity is half of the Imān When one mentions Allah's name, on entering his house and when eating, the devil says to his companions: There is no night shelter nor supper here for you. However, when one does not mention Allah's name, on entering his house, the devil says: You have found yourselves a night shelter and supper Allah, Glorified and Exalted, said: I am as My slave thinks of Me, and I am with him wherever he remembers Me During your sleep, Satan ties three knots at the back of the head of each one of you, and he seals each knot with the following words: The night is long, so keep on sleeping The example of the one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember Him is the like the example of a living and a dead person There are statements of remembrance following the prayer; whoever says or does them will never be a loser Satan comes to one of you and says: Who created such and such? Is anyone of you unable to earn one thousand good deeds each day? One of those present asked: How can one earn one thousand good deeds? He replied: By glorifying Allah one hundred times, one thousand good deeds will be added to his record, or one thousand sins will be removed from his record Whoever says "Glory be to Allah and Praise is due to Him", a date-palm tree will be planted for him in Paradise Whoever says "there is no god but Allah, and Allah is Greatest," his Lord affirms it, saying: There is no god but Me, and I am Greatest The devil said: By Your Might O Lord, I will continue to misguide Your slaves as long as their souls remain in their bodies. The Lord said: By My Might and My Majesty, I will continue to forgive them as long as they seek forgiveness from Me If anyone says "I ask forgiveness from Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I turn to Him in repentance," his sins will be forgiven even if he has fled from the battlefield
