No prayer should be offered in the presence of food or when he is resisting the need to relieve himself of the two filths Whoever forgets a prayer should perform it as soon as he remembers it; there is no expiation for it except that The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade praying with one's hands on one's waist When one of you stands to pray, he is privately conversing with his Lord, or his Lord is between him and the prayer direction. So let no one of you spit in the direction of prayer, but only to his left or under his feet What is the matter with some people who raise their eyes towards the sky during their prayer?" He went on, using strict words, until he said, "They must stop that, or their eyesight will be snatched away The worst of thieves among people is the one who steals his prayer." He said: "How does he steal his prayer?" He said: "He does not perform its Rukū‘ or prostration perfectly ‘Ā'ishah used to hate that one keeps his hands on his flanks (while praying). She said that the Jew used to do so I asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about looking around during prayer. He replied: It is a way of stealing by which the devil steals a portion of a slave's prayer The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to start the prayer with Takbīr and then recite: {All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds} There should not be two Witr prayers during one night In prayer, nothing of people's ordinary speech is allowed. Only Tasbīh, Takbīr, and recitation of the Qur'an are allowed When anyone of you stands in prayer, indeed mercy is facing him. So, let him not smooth the pebbles
